What is a juice cleanse?

Our three, five or seven-day juice cleanses offer your body the chance to rest and reset. During this time, you’ll enjoy a vibrant mix of organic fruit and vegetable-based juices and a nourishing nut milk every few hours throughout the day. Juicing is the simplest way to bathe your body with a constant flow of nourishing vitamins and minerals, which are easily digested and absorbed.

Can anyone do a juice cleanse?

Most people who try a juice cleanse will find they feel benefits from doing so. Of course, we’re all different and some people struggle with not eating food during this short period of time, so every experience is individual. Day one is usually most difficult as you’re breaking your usual eating habits, but most people find it easier from there. If you are in any doubt as to whether a cleanse is right for you, we recommend that you consult your doctor first.

How much does it cost?

Is there a difference between the green juices and colourful juices?

Yes, and it is based on the ingredients used. Green juices contain a higher ratio of organic vegetables to fruit, which means they contain fewer natural sugars. This can make them more of an acquired taste than the colourful, fruit-based juices. If you are new to cleansing, we recommend the Beginner’s Cleanse which contains more bottles of fruit-based juices, and is a gentle way to introduce you to a variety of flavours. More experienced juicers usually opt for our Intermediate or Expert Cleanses and there is always the option to Build Your Own Cleanse.

What is Cold Pressed Juice?

Cold pressing is the technique we use to carefully extract the maximum amount of juice from each organic ingredient. The cold temperature is important as it minimises the risk of losing valuable nutrients during the process. All of our cleanses are freshly cold pressed to order, ensuring that you receive the maximum benefits from drinking them. Unlike many juices and smoothies on supermarket shelves, we never blend them as the temperature increase means they lose important vitamins and minerals. We don’t pasteurise our juices either, as an extended shelf life is unnecessary; we only provide you with fresh, cold pressed, organic juices.

Can I choose the juices I like the sound of most?

Absolutely! The Build Your Own Cleanse allows you to pick and mix any bottles from our delicious range of juices and nut milks. For those of you who would prefer a little more guidance around balancing your selection, take a look at our Signature Cleanses.

What can I expect in my juice cleanse package?

Once ordered, your cold pressed juices and nut milks will be delivered in secure packaging to your door before 10am on your nominated day. The juices themselves will be securely nestled inside a Nourish cooler bag, with plenty of cool blocks around them to keep them chilled and fresh. The box will also contain your welcome letter and simple step-by-step instructions for following the cleanse.

How should I prepare for a juice cleanse?

If you’d like to get the most benefits out of your juice cleanse, then follow these simple steps three days before starting:

Increase your water intake to 2-3 litres per day and leave out fizzy drinks and alcohol.
Boost your intake of fresh foods such as vegetables, fruit, lean white meats, pulses, grains, nuts and seeds, while eliminating processed versions such as ready meals, takeaways, crisps and sweets.

During your cleanse:

  • Begin your day with a refreshing glass of warm water and a slice of lemon
  • Space your juices out over 2-3 hour intervals so that you have something to enjoy whenever you feel hungry
  • Drink plenty of water in between juices, or organic green tea if you want something warm

After your cleanse:

  • Continue to drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated
  • Treat your body to light meals of organic fresh fruit and vegetables for the first day
  • Re-introduce deliciously tasty whole foods over the next few days whilst avoiding anything greasy and processed

How often should I do a juice cleanse?

This is your own personal choice and the regularity is usually based on how great you feel after finishing your first cleanse. We initially recommend a three-day cleanse if you are new to juicing, or a five-day cleanse if you have enjoyed the benefits before. A three-day cleanse per month suits many of our customers, whereas others enjoy starting each month on a high with a five-day cleanse – the choice is entirely yours.

Will I lose weight doing a cleanse?

We don’t advocate using a cleanse to lose weight, as the primary benefit of juicing is to give your body a constant flow of easily digestible vitamins and minerals. However, most people will experience a drop on the scales of varying degrees during their cleanse, but any sustainable weight loss can only be achieved through following a healthy lifestyle.
